Our Primary Curriculum
Riverside’s aim is to provide a broad, balanced and relevant international curriculum for every child to enrich their life and to prepare him or her for the experiences, opportunities and responsibilities of adult life.
The following curriculum areas are taught across all age ranges (3-11):

A significant amount of the timetable is centred upon the three 'core' subjects of English, Mathematics and Science, to ensure that the foundations of literacy, numeracy and scientific investigation are thoroughly laid.
Czech Education Programme
This programme is for students who have Czech as their first language . It enables Czech Students to achieve a good standard of verbal and written Czech and to annually sit the Czech Ministry of Education examinations. A variety of home tasks are assigned on a regular basis for all full-day pupils, appropriate to their age group and level of understanding. The purpose is to reinforce the learning that takes place in class. In addition, every student receives a book to read or have read to them at home and at school on a daily basis. Riverside uses the software programme, Textease in the Primary School. Textease is a programme combining word processing with speech, desktop publishing and multimedia authoring. This year's password for Textease is 'rocket'Extra-Curricular Programme
A range of after-school activities of a musical, artistic, practical or sporting nature is organised by the teachers throughout the school year. Details of the programme are issued at the beginning of each term.Homework
