Simply the Best!
Over the past few months a group of Junior High students have been working tirelessly to plan, design and produce a Science Fair project. On 12th March 17 students attended the Vienna International Science Fair hosted by the INMM at the Lycée Français de Vienne to present their projects, alongside 60 students from other schools. They were fantastic representatives of Riverside, presenting their projects to international judges from a variety of scientific backgrounds in a confident and enthusiastic manner. The results were exceptional and we are extremely proud of all students who took part.
During the presentation of the ribbons, two groups received Bronze, three groups received Silver, and four groups received Gold. The judges were particularly impressed with their creative ideas, excellent understanding of the scientific method, well designed displays and superb presentation skills.
On 17th March an Awards Banquet was held in which our students received a number of additional well deserved awards in the Junior Division:
Best in Category (Environmental Sciences): Adriana and Emmie
Best in Category (Human Behaviour/Life Sciences): Michelle and Averill
Women in Nuclear Award: Viviana and Catalina
Best Overall Project: Michelle and Averill
This year, the judges made an additional presentation, awarding Riverside School with a Certificate of Merit. This was an award for ‘Outstanding School Effort’ in recognition of the contribution the school and its students have made to the Science Fair in recent years, with high quality projects and enthusiastic participants. The INMM commended Riverside School’s dedication to achieving excellence from their students.
Riverside graduates have been accepted to some of the most prestigious universities around the world.
