English as an Additional Language
Aimee discovered her love of education while teaching English in a small school in Oaxaca, Mexico when she was just out of university. She returned to the United States and taught for 17 years at two California distinguished schools. In that time, she enjoyed teaching English, History and EAL, as well as coaching volleyball, leading her department, and organizing literacy initiatives across her school district. When her own children entered the public school system, she and her husband had a desire for the children to see the world! They first moved to Kuwait and worked at an International Baccalaureate school there. From Kuwait, they travelled further east to South Korea to work at an IB school in beautiful Busan. They enjoyed living in these interesting countries and yet were so excited for the opportunity to live in delightful Prague and work in a family-centred school like Riverside.
Riverside graduates have been accepted to some of the most prestigious universities around the world.
