We believe the most effective way to learn music is by actively making it. For this reason, every student from Primary through Junior High learns to play a musical instrument. The Musicians for Life programme provides an inclusive, high-quality introduction to music that builds self-belief, fosters community, and develops essential life skills like collaboration and discipline.
Examples of how students can grow musically include: Instrumental lessons and ensemble groups, choirs and vocal performances, solo showcases and soirées, school concerts and assemblies, our annual Festival of Music, informal “corner concerts”, a ‘Music Maker Space’, and our very own recording studio.
With 663 students participating in our Skills for Life Programme, Riverside’s vibrant culture of involvement ensures that nearly every student takes part in clubs, teams, or creative projects. This high level of engagement reflects our belief that learning extends far beyond academics—through collaboration, exploration, and shared experiences, students build confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of learning.
Building character is just as important as building knowledge. Through Leadership & Community Service, our students learn to lead with empathy, act with integrity, and contribute meaningfully to the world around them. These experiences help develop practical abilities, social awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Examples of our Clubs are: Homeless Outreach, Model UN, Masterchef Club, Student Council, Eco-Council, Young Business People Club, Bullet Journal Club, Books and Reading Club or Economics Club.
