IB Diploma Eligibility Criteria
At Riverside, every student has the opportunity to pursue the IB Diploma Programme. While open to all, the programme’s academic rigor means we maintain clear entry thresholds to support student well-being and success. Our IB Diploma recipients consistently achieve results well above the world average, reflecting both their dedication and the strength of our programme.
Students are expected to have strong grades and demonstrate active engagement in learning, reflecting the qualities of a successful IB Diploma candidate.

Guidelines:
Academic Requirements: Ages 16–19, IGCSE (or equivalent) with at least five (5) passes at grade C (5) or above, including English, Maths, Science, and grade B (6) or higher in subjects they wish to study at Higher Level (HL).
English Proficiency: Demonstrated mastery of academic English in reading and writing.
Behavior & Attendance: Satisfactory record, typically 90% attendance or higher.
Teacher Recommendations: Positive comments on work ethic, meeting deadlines, academic maturity, and critical thinking.
Independent Learning & Time Management: Evidence from coursework, internal assessments, or CAS-type activities during IGCSE years.
Flexible Consideration: Students who do not meet these criteria may still apply; applications are reviewed case-by-case considering academic record and personal context.
