Amanda was born and raised in Illinois, USA. She studied at Bradley University, where she received a degree in education. Amanda taught at a primary school in Illinois for three years, prior to moving to the Czech Republic. Amanda chose to pursue a career teaching in Prague for the beauty and presence of history in the city, the ability to travel to new places, and immersion into a new community and culture. As well as teaching, Amanda enjoys reading, hiking and other outdoor adventures, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
