British Schools Overseas · March 2026
Following our most recent British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection in March 2026, we are proud to share that Riverside International School has once again been recognised as ‘Outstanding’ in every category. This marks our third consecutive ‘Outstanding’ judgement, reflecting the continued strength, consistency and ambition of our whole school community.
Riverside remains fully accredited as a British School Overseas — a recognition awarded through a rigorous inspection process aligned with the standards of leading independent schools in England. Achieving this outcome for a third time reinforces our position as one of the leading British international schools in the region and highlights our ongoing commitment to delivering a high-quality, values-driven education for all of our students.

British Schools Overseas (BSO) accreditation is the UK Government’s official inspection and quality assurance framework for British international schools. It is a voluntary process overseen by the Department for Education (DfE), with standards closely aligned to those used for leading independent schools in England.
Riverside International School is inspected by a DfE-approved inspectorate, with the process itself independently quality assured by Ofsted. This ensures that the judgements made are both rigorous and externally validated.
For families, this is important because:
The inspection highlights how we combine academic ambition with exceptional pastoral care, creating an environment that is both rigorous and deeply nurturing. Inspectors recognised our school as a thriving, innovative community where our students flourish academically, socially and personally, supported by strong leadership and a rich, future-focused curriculum.
BSO reports also identify areas for further development. We are pleased to have received the following development point:
“Become a beacon of excellence for other schools — leverage expertise and exploit the school’s position as a leader of innovation, to drive and support regional developments.”
